Dr. Evan Karas is a member of the Medical Group at The Orthopedic and Spine Institute in Mount Kisco. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and finished his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he is currently assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine and knee and shoulder surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked extensively with collegiate and professional athletes.

Dr. Evan Karas is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and holds an academic appointment as affiliate staff of orthopedic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has published articles in several orthopedic journals, and has presented and served as faculty at orthopedic surgery conferences nationwide. Dr. Karas is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area annually since 2006.
